Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of Feyenoord ace Santiago Gimenez.

The North London club will look to incorporate a new number nine into their squad in the summer and they have their eyes set on Santiago Gimenez. According to a report from GiveMeSport, they have identified the Mexican international as their priority target and are looking to push hard for his signature.

After making a name for himself at CD Cruz Azul, he made the switch to Dutch club Feyenoord and hasn’t looked back since. In the ongoing season, Gimenez has featured in a total of 41 matches and he has found the back of the net on 26 occasions and also has eight assists to his name.

His consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs from across Europe are interested in his signature. Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on having him the 23-year-old striker in their ranks. The North London club are looking to sign a new striker ahead of next season and they have made him their priority target.

Ange Postecoglou’s team decided against signing a replacement for Harry Kane last summer and have coped well without him. But, the Australian manager is now looking for a long-term replacement and has pinpointed the Feyenoord star on the back of his impressive rise.

Richarlison’s future at the North London club is uncertain and Postecoglou wants to use Son Heung-min in his preferred position on the flanks. As a result, he has tasked the chairman Daniel Levy to bring in a top-quality forward who can lead their line.

Gimenez is Tottenham’s priority target and have been pushing hard to understand the exact terms needed to secure an agreement for his services. According to the report, the Dutch clubs will look for a minimum of £87 million, Feyenoord want more than what Manchester United had forked out for Antony in the recent past.
