The AIA have appointed referee Juan Luca Sacchi as the man in charge of the Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Lazio this weekend.

This will be a celebratory occasion for the Nerazzurri who will be presented with the Serie A trophy after the match.

But first, Simone Inzaghi’s men will be looking to mark the occasion with a victory over their capital foes.

According to FcInterNews, Sacchi will officiate the encounter which will take place at San Siro on Sunday at 18:00 CET.

The 39-year-old has been one of the most active match officials in Serie A this season. He was in charge of 15 clashes in Italy’s top flight this term.

However, he has yet to officiate a match involving the Nerazzurri this term.

On the contrary, Sacchi was in charge of Lazio’s 1-2 victory in Udine in January, as well as the Biancocelesti’s 1-0 win over Genoa in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.

Juan Luca Sacchi Will Take Charge Of Inter Milan Vs Lazio Serie A Contest

The Treia native only brandished one red card in Serie A this season. This ensued in his most recent outing when he sent off Bologna defender Sam Beukema for a second bookable offense against Udinese.

Sacchi gave 66 yellow cards in his 15 previous Serie A matches, and awarded six penalty kicks.

While Sacchi will be the main man in charge, Bercigli and Palermo will join him as linesmen.

Moreover, Santoro will act as the fourth official, while Serra and Aureliano will be in the VAR booth.
