Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

The already heated second-round series between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers seemingly has its temperature raised higher amid the Knickerbockers’ 121-91 win at home Tuesday night. With a 3-2 series lead on the line, the Knicks made sure to capitalize on their home-court advantage, as they blew the Pacers out of the water.

The game featured a skirmish mainly involving Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo and Pacers big man Myles Turner after the former ran into the latter’s screen late in the third period.

After the game, DiVincenzo appeared to accuse the Pacers of being fake tough guys.

Via Stefan Bondy of the New York Post:

“They’re trying to be tough guys. And that’s not their identity and there is nothing more to that,” DiVincenzo told reporters in the locker room. “I don’t agree with trying to walk up on somebody. Nobody is going to fight in the NBA. So take the foul, keep it moving. You’re not a tough guy.”

The series just got spicier after that comment by DiVincenzo, It will be interesting how Turner and the Pacers respond in Game 6 at home, as they look to force a Game 7.
